About Joe Wickman

Who is Joe Wickman?

I’m a regular guy who grew up in Vestal, NY. In 1997 I married my high school sweetheart, and we began a journey of faith. Together Kelcy and I dedicated our lives to serving God with every breath. We were so blown away by His grace and love for us we decided that whatever, wherever, whenever, we would make our lives about serving Him and others. This has led us down some interesting roads, as God hardly ever moves in a predictable fashion.

Why the blog?

I’ve made a wealth of mistakes in life. I’ve paid dearly for every one of them. At every turn God has been there for me. His forgiveness and faithfulness have transformed my life. Now I’d like to share what I’ve been learning with others. Writing provides an outlet for me to help others as I learn how to sharpen my communication skills.

Where I work:

I get to be the Site Pastor of New Life Vestal, one of the worship locations of New Life Ministries. We are one church in many locations, bringing the hope of Jesus Christ to our community in and around Binghamton, NY.

New Life is the church I grew up in. I have been called by God to share the hope I have found with as many people as possible. My life’s mission is to help others discover all the fullness of a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. I am blessed to live out this calling in the church and greater community I grew up in.

  1. How do I get this daily or weekly? However you do it.

    • Hi Dottie,
If you have subscribed via email, you will be notified each time I post, which will probably be 3 to 5 times per week. If you can stand reading that much of what I write, that’s wonderful!
By the way, we really missed you guys at KidStuf last night. Tell Mike he would have been so proud of the whole team.

  3. My boyfriend and I are in a courtship. Your article `The first 100 days — 3 steps to a successful start` was very helpful for us. Thank you!

[…] This is a great post from Pastor Joe Wickman. I think Pastor Joe nails it as to how we are today, especially in today’s society of how everyone wants to be their own god. Find more on Pastor Joe joewickman.com […]
